So for my Human Behavior class I have to participate in a debate on premarital sex. My side is for. The girl I have to debate with is really conservative so basically my comebacks to all of her points are "That is not a statistic, it is a ridiculous generalization based on the bible which is not a credible source in my opinion." What about people who are not straight? They can't get married in this country so are they never supposed to have sex?

You can include that not everyone believes in Christianity or the Bible. That people who do not follow a certain religion shouldn't be expected to play by its rules.

I hope this helps.

You might be able to find stuff in feminist websites or books, since that might stress knowing what you like and not marrying someone and then finding our you're completely incompatible sexually. Also, the issue puts pressure mostly on women, and some people consider it to be an issue only because we live in a patriarchal society. Or it might help to mention how most people do have premarital sex despite living in societies that condemn it, and that they're more likely not to have safe sex. And maybe you could talk about gay couples that can't get married. I don't know if this was helpful at all, but its all I can think of. Its like your side is right for such obvious reasons that it seems silly to even explain them. Good luck.

I adore premarital sex.

Maybe if she had some, she would stop being so up tight. What are her arguments?

mostly religious reasons like god says we shouldn't have sex until we get married and stuff. we had the debate today and it went pretty well i kinda felt bad for the girl i was debating with because everyone else in our class has had sex except her and no one agreed with her and she was very quiet when everyone else got involved. god's reasoning is just not good enough
