I kept thinking that everyone was different when for the past week and a half, but now I'm starting to think that maybe I'm the one who is different. Maybe I changed, and it just seems to me that they're the different ones.
returning from study abroad sucks because you have changed. you've grown and lived in another country and really, really been on your own. and experienced everything that going to school in england is. but at st. mike's, it's just another semester. and some things have happened that affected people there, but you missed it. still, for the most part, they're the same. it's worse because you expect another country to be different, so that's easier to adjust to. but st. mike's is supposed to be familiar. and sometimes you forget that you're used to living in a completely different way and you're going through culture shock again, because it's supposed to be home.
