So Wicked was... good.

James bought us tickets to see Wicked back in June.  We'd been looking forward to it for months.  Both of us had heard lots of cool buzz about the show and had heard lots of songs from the soundtrak (we both really enjoy broadway musicals... go figure).

But when we finally were sitting in the theatre, last night, the reality set in that this show

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Right. I'm not that girl is my fav from that show too:( I'd be pissed if someone messed it up! Sorry it wasn't as fantastic as you'd hoped:( We'll get the broadway dvd and pretend like we're there!

Wow...they must have had different singers than the night we went OR like you said, they're exhausted because we LOVED it. I'm uber critical of singers. They must have just had an off night. SOME DAY...I'd love to do Elphaba. I'm signing up for Broadway in Chicago's Open Cast Call Notifications so maybe I'll be doing it soon! LOL

I love this post:) It's a musical with much hype, I agree, probably too much. And I will admit, in my experience with this show, though it's been little, Nessa is usually really freakin good for a smaller role. That's a good thing IF the leads are great too! I'm sorry it wasn't as wonderful as you'd hoped. Still hope it was a good experience and didn't completely ruin your relationship with the musical. I felt the same way when I saw Rent the first time but I still have a great love for the musical.

Oh and I wanna be Elphaba sooo bad. Too bad it's not my voice type;) Maybe I can be Nessa...
