Something oceany, like a whale watch or the Harbor Islands? I took my parents out to Little Brewster Island to see the lighthouse last year, which went over well. Or you could try the Red Sox or the Revolution if they're sports people. (Granted the Revolution are in Foxboro, which is well outside Boston.)
