so who is Richard Scarry?

a couple of times in the last few days i have made reference to Richard Scarry to spiderpixie and my brother Chris. neither of them was aware of the children's books that he was responsible for. i remember it in the same mental pigeonhole as "where the wild things are", topsy and tim, meg and mogm and dr. seuss

Ummmm, yeah, Richard Scarry books are essential childhood material. I think my house may even contain one translated into german.

I can see how they'd be less exciting if you had never encountered them until adulthood, though.
