Well I held the job at the Beat for five months, made it something special, before politics and nasty manipulative drag queens pulled me out of the job. This was a bad sign when moving out of Warry street prison, into W's place...eww gay boy living. It was made bearable because of a lovely trans girlfriend K, one of W's friends, who gave me a voice

There's been some room to let adverts over on Brisneyland lately.

Also the Brisbane Goth Meetup crowd often have/know of rooms to let, and tend to be friendly and tolerant. http://goth.meetup.com/67/ (Nice people to hang woth too.)
