Airship Pirates!

Abney Park is going to be at Dragon*Con again this year. I thought they looked awesome last year, but I didn't get to hear them play. I'm just now discovering their music through their RPG - Airship Pirates! I can't describe how much I want to play this game! Between this and White Wolf's Onyx Path, it's a good time to be a gamer!

Nice! I'm loving what I've heard so far! They're definitely on my must see list for DragonCon this year! :D

I don't know about the con scene in general. It's usually just Dragon*Con for me. It has traditionally had a big gaming component, but it's definitely not a gaming con. The gaming companies don't have nearly the presence there as they used to. I would always splurge a little bit at the White Wolf booth every year to get books I might be interested in but not actually buy otherwise. Now that White Wolf no longer has a presence there, I don't get nearly as many of their books as I used to. That's definitely the reason I don't have a copy of Geist or most of Exalted's terrestrial and the last couple celestial direction books. I used to love their developer panels too. It was nice getting kind of an inside look at White Wolf's plans and getting them to sign my favorite books. I can't really do GenCon or Grand Masquerade, so I don't really have an opportunity for it any more.

It's a bit sad, but on the bright side, it does leave more time for the science panels, skeptic panels, concerts, and generally partying with friends ;)
