Okay, stupid question, but is there a smell?

I mean, when you actually stepped outside, did it smell different or feel different in any way?

Not a dumb question. Because YES there is a different smell. The minute you step outside it is a different smell. Sometimes its just stinks. But it doesn't feel different. I will say this ..... IT IS NOTHING LIKE ALABAMA. Its like being on an entirely different planet.
