A new year to not do all the things I didn't do last year.

I actualy had this done but forgot to post it when I got back in to town

The Channel 5 news van sat outside a small apartment complex in down town Ft. Lauderdale. The apartment stood covered in black ash from the fire that scorched though the building. Down on the street stood Sara Berkley, field reporter for Channel 5 New. Her Camera man James balanced the camera on his shoulder and paneled the burnt building finally focused onto Sara in her little red suit. James raised his hand with his fingers raised up, “We are live in 5, 4, 3, 2, rolling” he said as he dropped his fingers down with the count.

“This is Sara Berkley live from 42nd Street in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale where just a few hours ago the apartment complex behind me was set ablaze from what authorities believe to be started by electric shortage inside the building. Causing a few hundred people to be left homeless for the night. Here we have Jose with us who was inside when the fire started. Jose what happened here?”

“Well Sara I standing in my kitchen make myself a burrito when I turned around to see my living room in flames. I freaked out and took my burrito and ran out of the building. I do have to say though it was a very good burrito.” Said Jose his belly hanging out of a small kids t-shirt with a picture of Pokemon on it.

“There you have it, back to you Bill.” Sara said as the camera turned off. “Come on James lets get out of here.” She said with a big sigh.

James walked over to the Van and opened the door putting his camera down. “Where too now Sara?”

“We need a real story James, I’ve had enough of these little things.”

“Good stories don’t fall right in your lap Sara, you need a lead onto something.”

The sound of sirens blared down the street as flashing blue lights blared in the sunlight. Three cop cars where blaring down the road.

“Maybe they do James.” Sara said as a grin ran across her face and she jumped into the passenger seat of the van.

James dug in his pocket grabbing the keys to the van as he sat down into the driver’s seat.

“Come on already.” Sara said joyfully as the engine turned on.

This should be adding a nice twist to the story.

Well my trip up north was good, didn't really get much for the holidays but doesn't matter anyways. The trip did clear up my head and I feel so much better.

Last night I had my New Year's Eve party which was a blast.

Now I get to go back to work tomorrow. Goodbye vacation.
