Prologue I

The Universe

The year is 12631 and man still rules this tiny little planet. For in truth this rock would be the only place man could ever rule. As of 2659 space was no longer the unknown, we have traveled beyond the stars only to find that it is more constricted then our own planet. The universe was sprawling with other life forms, but one race stood out among the rest. They are known as the Rieons.

The Rieons where a very peaceful race, but at the same time their wisdom was unlike anything else; some even say that if there was a God he would be a Rieon. They are the keeps of the cosmos to put it simply. The laws that all intelligent beings must follow were written by their hands. These rules where for the greater good and did not benefit the Rieons, nor any other race more then the next, just a system to keep peace among the stars. One rule stood out the most to man, “Every race is bound to only their natural planet to control.” The law that destroyed human’s nature to concur all they laid eyes upon.

The Core

When man realized that only had this planet to rule they did something they have never done before. They started working together to make the world a better place. By the year 3012 the world had become together as a nation and many of the world’s problems had been fixed. The world was lead by a party of 12 men know as The Core. These men where voted in when either one was fired by the people or quit. These men weren’t politicians. They didn’t gather and compose laws; no their purpose much more significant then petty laws. This group filled with some of the smartest, idealist and creative people who all had one goal. Help mankind go forward.

The Core was now meeting on the new subject of over population. The earth now carried over 20,000,000,000 people. Out of the 12 members there were two men in the core that where held up to the upmost respect. Phillip Fox, founder of Fox Foundation’s the largest technology company and one of the greatest idealists that had ever been born on this plant had brought a solution to the table.

Fox stood up and looked around the room making eye contact with the other 11 Core members. “Brothers and sisters I have been giving great though to where mankind has come to the limit of the physical world. This is not some simple issue of not enough land to live on. No my friends, this is an issue of limiting human’s capacity to grow. Space is of little importance in this issue when we have the potential to have almost an unlimited amount of it.” The other Core members looked at each other confused about what Fox meant.

A scientist known as Mary Swatch spoke for the members other members of The Core, “Fox are you saying that we should go into space and declare war on the Rieons and every other race that’s with them?”

“No Miss. Swatch I have no intent of going to war or space. I speak of going to the virtual world, where there and no limitations. Imagine a world, no not even a world; our own personal universes where we make all the laws. We have advanced far enough to bring this in reality. We can virtually simulate all 5 senses, if one wasn’t even told it was the virtual world they wouldn’t even know.”

“And what of the physical bodies, what about the physical labor that needs to be done.” Miss. Swatch inquired.

“The physical bodies would only need a little space to be maintained and almost no work to stay maintained. As for physical labor we can use androids which will be controlled though the virtual world. As I said space isn’t an issue, where a 1,000 people live right now we could easily place 100,000. 20,000,000,000 people could only take the space of 200,000,000. Anything else my friends?”

The group started to talk among themselves everyone beside one man, James Kilman. Kilman was respected by everyone in The Core and it wasn’t because he had been in The Core longer than any other man. Hell he joined at the age of 19 making him the youngest person to ever be in The Core. But there was a reason for this; Kilman was the most intelligent human to breathe the earth’s air. He was also a man of the people. Unlike Fox who has more money then he knows what to do with Kilman had almost none. It was like he needed it, every person on the planet knew who he was and would die for the man. If the world had just one leader it would be Kilman.

It only took a moment for everyone to notice Kilman’s displeased face. Fox sighed to himself; he had always looked up to Kilman and has hoped for his approval of this project. “What are your thoughts on this Kilman?” Fox asked.

The room’s eyes stared at Kilman. “Fox do you have an idea how long that plan will take to complete, creating a virtual universe to support billions of users?”

Fox knew this was coming, he knew Kilman was just testing if he did his homework. “Kilman I would let you know that this virtual world has already been started on and is almost in testing phases. If all goes according to plan we should be fully up and running to support everyone in 10 years.”

Kilman nodded his head, “You talk about mankind growing, but what about our physical evolution. We shall just become sacks of meat.”

Fox knew this would come up and had already set his preference on it. “What more is there to our physical evolution? Whatever we would evolve to would not make much of a difference with the level of technology that we have control of.”

“Maybe your right Fox. Maybe this is the end of the physical world and we should turn to the virtual world, but I have faith that things will happen in the future that will go beyond your virtual world.”

“Neither of us can tell what the future will bring exactly but I am just bring an option to mankind to take.” Fox said as sat down.

Soon after the meeting Fox’s plan went into effect and every human had the choice of where they wanted to go. Unknown to them it would be splitting the world into two factions; The Fox Foundation and The Kilman Group.
