Have you checked out my other blog? XD That's sort of the premise. A picture of myself every day, no matter how I feel or look, and sometimes a blog post too. It's done a lot toward getting me more comfortable with my body, and seeing myself as a beautiful woman.

Yay! No I haven't seen your other blog, but I will check it out!

I keep meaning to set up an "OOTD" photo booth for myself, so I can take a picture every day before I leave for work. Maybe that will be my 2011 art project.

Really fascinating set of pictures! I loved how a) she got that shot in every year and b) you could see how time was passing in the people around her.

PS: to be fair, I've always been camera-shy, long before I gained weight. My parents and I used to fight about it when I was a kid because I didn't want my school picture taken.

I distrusted the camera for years because I do not look the same in photos as I do in real life. The red in my hair appears, and my skin becomes even whiter than normal. I am also "blinky". When I worked in a TV studio, I realized how many people need make up and special lighting to appear "realistic" (virtually everyone) and furthermore, how the unreality of what we see on tv and in commercial photographs has bent our expectations of what we should look like on video and in photos. Even when I like what I see in the picture -- it doesn't exactly look like me! (Have you seen celebrities up close? They don't look the same either. Nyah nyah.)
