A sad day

I can't believe Steve Irwin died. He has done so much good.

I'm kind of in shock right now.

I watched all of his episodes, gave some of his videos as gifts, I even used to do impressions to get my students interested in the subject.

RIP: You'll be missed and honered.

I was flicking through the channels while eating breakfast this morning when I saw it on CNN, and even though that was a few hours ago, everytime I see someone else mention it on Livejournal I still kind of get that shocked feeling.
I mean... he's definitely had a good few close calls.. but I'm sure we all somewhat expected him to meet his maker by means of something having to do with an actual crocodile. Not a stingray.

but i'm sure that he would not want to rot away with cancer, or get sick, or die any other way than by doing what he loved.

I just laugh at his fearlessness, and think about all the times his antics frightened the shit out of me and made me laugh, and i know that there's a whole lot of people in the world today who feel the same...

I just got back in town and was looking at the news headlines. I was shocked to see he actually died but he did indeed die doing something he loved.
