We have to put down one of our dogs. I'm not really that sad because he is reeeeeally old and blind and deaf and probably doesn't know he's still alive himself. Besides, dog heaven is probably way better than our back yard anyway

this reminds me of that prison experiment they do, when they take ordinary people and make some of them prisoners and some of them guards, and by the end of the experiment the guards are viciously beating the prisoners and the prisoners are murderously rioting, even though nobody started out doing anything wrong.

this is what you get for trying to give back to society.

I heard about this volunteer thing where you help people install gardens in their yards. gardens so they can grow all their own vegetables and eat healthy and cheaply. they train you for free, so you get all the skills you need to do it yourself, and then you help other people do it. I think it sounds rad. we should do it.
