This is so sweet. I understand Charles' predicament, being in academia myself; as a student I housesat for a number of profs, but I never imagined the roles reversed LOL!

I can't imagine leaving my daughter with one of my professors, tbh, even though I'm a grad student myself. It would just be strange.

I was hoping the new chapter will be today, but it still made my day they when I actually saw it :)
Charles is still adorable :D With dippers changing and glaring at people <3
And he is such a good and understanding teacher, really why there are so few of them in the real world? ;)

No, this story is going to be exclusively from Charles' POV. I've actually made Erik 19, as I've somewhat hinted so far. I'm assuming he's a bit behind in starting school because of Lorna.

For some reason the new chapter isn't showing up for me on Ao3, so I legitmately stalked you over here---and I'm so glad I did!!! Oh man, do I ever sympathize with Charles...taking care of someone else's child, especially when you have zero experience with children SUCKS. And I agree about people being awful in public places...sometimes a kid is just going to cry! You can't do anything!! (although, in that moment, I couldn't help but think that Charles should just use his telepathy on her...is that awful? lol)

Love this, can't wait to see where it goes!!!

Haha, I think Charles would definitely think using his powers on Lorna would be a violation of some sort, since he felt bad enough about just sneaking a peek into her mind the first time he babysat her.

Thanks for telling me about the problem on AO3, by the way--I've gotten it straightened out now, but it would have taken me ages to realize on my own!

This story could be a movie - seriously, I can imagine all the plot perfectly, you write it so good. But changing diaper on the other side? Really? I suppose it is possible in Charles' case:D Great chapter, great fic, I hope to read more soon:)

Haha, a friend of mine babysat for my daughter (who is the same age that I've made Lorna in this story) last month, and she put the diaper on backwards! She's a clever girl and is going to finish her PhD this summer, but somehow she still got it wrong, lol.
