Oh gosh, this is soppy and yet absolutely heartbreaking at the same time. Because for all that Erik is a sweet, loving man, you make everything so darn forboding that I'm breathless waiting for him to get his memory back and for Charles's heart to be broken again. Either that, or for the Brotherhood to pull something and force Charles to tell Erik what really happened in his past.

For my part, I don't believe the Brotherhood deserve Erik back anyway, after dumping him and making no attempt to make sure that he's okay or contact him. Unless that's what the "persistent" Miss Frost is trying to do?

Like Charles, I just want to stay in denial and keep Erik, the innocent, warm Erik who would stop a child from falling on the ice. Sad sigh.

Now I'm at a point where I'm dreading what could happen next.

Because it's very weird that the Brotherhood hasn't manifested after weeks. And even if they think Erik is lost to them, it's weird that they're still inactive (they are smart enough to have plans on their own, right?)

Doesn't mean I don't want to see what happens next! I can't wait for more!

The way Erik is now is so heartwarming, and yet it's kinda hard to let go and enjoy him, as I'm spending the whole time waiting for the other shoe to drop in some sense! But still gorgeous chapter! :)
