We're gonna get chased out of town, I hope he realizes this. Or all arrested as accessories.

We've been on the run before, and this place is big enough that we could find any number of places. Doesn't mean I'm not going to punch him when he gets out.

With a majority of the police running full speed to stop an explosion of crime from the time loop, this leaves Naoto to look after the station. As the station also contains one troubled young adult who works for a renown Desai scumbag, the Detective Prince is given the task of reasoning with him.

"I'm sorry we have to meet again in these circumstances," Naoto says, genuine and holding a file almost as large as she is. She nods apologetically to the cuffs Chase wears, adding, "However I believe we'd be prepared to offer you a deal."

"A deal?" chase leaned forward quickly, but then just as quickly reversed directions, leaning back in his chair and trying to look nonchalant and casual.

"Just because I was tagging on the same wall as those monkeys doesn't mean I'm guilty of anything that'd be worth a deal. I mean, unless you're trying to arrest that orangutan or something -- and even then, I'm no narc."

Considering the man in question, Naoto smiled despite herself.

"Your words, not mine." Taking a seat across from Chase, she set the file on the desk. Although it was clear enough from the shading Chinese trading slips peeking out of the mammoth volume, the cover read LAU.

"Your connection to a certain criminal is enough to warrant additional an investigation into your complicity with Desai's underground." Knowing Chase was not the type to be swayed by basic logic, the detective somberly noted, "From your behavior in the tv world, I wouldn't have guessed your allegiance to him trumped your loyalty to your friends."

Chase laughed uneasily and unconvincingly, avoiding looking at the folder.

"Haha... yeah, I never finished the eleventh grade, so you might wanna go easy on the big words with me, Matlock."

He tapped the folder with one hand, handcuff chains jingling.

"That dude's just my boss - I'm the doorman, I'm, like, never even inside the building. Plus, he didn't have anything to do with why I was arrested."
