the piano sonata has undergone seige, here is the introduction, principal theme, transition to secondary, secondary theme, and a little blip into the recapsulation of the principal

I'm going for a modern to romantic era timbre with mainly classical harmony, but a tad bit of chromaticism....critiques?

I like it a whole whole bunch. I confess that there's a couple of times in the first half (principal theme?) where there's a note that slips in that confuses my music sense. It doesn't /feel/ like it belongs. It seemed like there was a short run of chromatics in the second half that similarly confused me, but because it was a whole set, my brain adapted and accepted it and found it neat.

On the whole, I really appreciated it.

*disclaimer* I hear music great, and feel music great, but I have no concept of music theory, so if I committed any grave misnomers in my "critique" -- just ignore it or correct me please. :)

your critique is just as good as someone who knows music theory. the first half is the introduction...there's a lot wrong with it...it's not that there are wrong notes, per se, but that they are undeveloped...I think. a note sounds out of place if it's not developed...I'm gradually learning this. it's either I get ambitious and develop weird notes, or I will have boring music. thanks for listening =)
