Unfortunately, haven't been drawing much, but I've managed to get a handful of stuff together for a small post. ( Nothing too exciting. )

I haven't been drawing much either ;___; my art side of the brain kind of goes on hurpadurp notice when I am writing. but arrrrttttsss...PY ARTTTTSSSS. Look at the arts! I really am digging those arms, PY the MUSCLE DEFINITION *drool*

and why does it make so much sense that you would be Marceline? XD (I've seen a few episodes of Adventure Time...it's starting to grow on me XD) That haircut looks super cute on your cartoonish-self!

Aw, thank you!

Oh man Adventure Time is SO GOOD. I love how cute and funny and weird it is! Probably one of the most creative and entertaining cartoons I've seen in ages. :)

Well it looks awful rad to me. All of it. ALL OF IT. You've gotten so good with a tablet, your mark-making is splendid. I'm jealous. I have all the ease and dexterity of Captain Hook when it comes to sketching in the computer.

Oh man, thanks! That means a lot coming from you, with your super keen marks. I still feel like I have no idea how to deal with digital line weights, but at least I can fudge stuff via texture?

Also now I have a marvelous image of Capt. Hook painstakingly drawing on a tablet. The stylus is taped to his actual hook.

I don't think anyone really gets natural line weight with a tablet. Maybe they're better now but with mine as soon as the stylus hits the tablet you're at full pressure. And I cannot draw worth crap if I have to keep my stylus hovering. That's nuts.

Don't sell yourself short either. This stuff looks amazing. I don't know what you've been up to with your practicing but it's working. Your skills are stronger than an ever. The appropriate highschool art class reaction would be "you suck". That of course was the highest praise and expression of jealousy in highschool art class.

What kind of tablet are you using? I can't remember what you have. The only thing I've found that sorta works for weight is turning on Other Dynamics: Pressure for the brush settings. I'm sure there are better or additional things one can do, but I imagine a lot is just learning how to work with the device.

And oh gosh, that's very kind of you to say! I do appreciate the encouragement.

(ack, posted too soon, sorry)
Those arm/anatomy studies are reallly nice, especially the shading (I like that layered used both black and white lines). The pose studies are cool too - if you're interested in tips, I've found that putting down quick action lines first can help give the figures a sense of weight and motion (especially the hips/shoulders and down the spine).
