TV in wardrobe

does anyone know what the minimum safe distance is around a TV in a wardrobe/cabinet?

like fridges have to have at least x cm gap on all sides to allow for airflow, but with TVs I assume it's because of the heat they generate and the possible fire risk.

Gosh, I'd be able to tell you if I had access to the Australian Standards, but I'm not at work right now.

Do you have a manual for the TV that can tell you?

at least 5cm all the way around. more at the back, than the sides.

easiest way to tell, is put the TV in said cabinet, turn it on for an hour and then check to see what has/has not become hot.

figured it'd probably be about that, was a bit worried about the depth (back), but will definitely have more than 5cm

given the age of the TV, I would recommend a little more space. Generally, the older the TV, the more heat they generate.

fairly sure it's from 1983 or 82. 31cm or something small like that (maybe 28)
