Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think I actually watch that many movies. Alot of tv, but films not so much.
So I am stealing this meme from shehasathree, but realise that I have watched alot in the last 2 weeks and all of fairly poor quality.

A challenge of watching 100 movies in 2008.

hm. maybe i should make myself a list of complete seasons of teevee shows as well. :)

the 'original' meme had a rating system but i ws feeling lazy and took it off.

thanks for the offer - i adore anchors aweigh! They are all on sale for $8 at big w so i think i might just go and buy them (in fact I already would have if my bank card wasn't having a fit).

Perfume was okay, not great. I think it was beautiful to look at but sort of lost the grimy elegance of the book and an over reliance on sniffing and digitally tranforming backgrounds (for me at least) did nothing to capture the transformative potential of scent upon feeling. Plus the narration was very heavy handed - which again took away from the metaphorical potential of any imagery.

DEBS was fairly bad. Actually very bad. But thats okay you know?

Saw Perfume recently, well done in general, good character building, original cinematography... expresses a lot about human nature as well.
