i know i never write here anymore....

anyway, there seems to be alot of smashing pumpkins tickets floating around for $50 on friday night.
would anyone be interested in going?

also there is a greek music shop in oakleigh that sells old eurovision tees for $5 - i chuckle anytime i go past!

I think I need an Eurovision t-shirt. I would wear it to the gym, and it would go with some of the music they play there. It would be truly beautiful. It would make all of the Russian ladies jealous.

Hey, referring to another band completely, but did you know that the B52s have a new album, Funplex. I've heard a tiny sample of it, and it sounds like nothing has changed, despite their advancing years!

i knew it was coming, and remembered like 2 days ago, but didnt google-fu to see if it was out yet :)

my only trepidation is that it will all sound like "good stuff" which is them at their height of lame genericness.

also i saw you on the bus last week but was in my car. ah oakleigh.

Hmmm... Good Stuff has the nice production but lacks pizzaz (spelling?). Older stuff like Rock Lobster has pizzaz but lacks nice production. Cosmic Thing stuff has both. Cannot say what the new album will be like but just nice knowing they are still at it.

I find the ages of the band members scary. Kate is like hitting 60! I had the hots for her circa Cosmic Thing. Course even back then she was still over two decades my senior but I only realise that now.

I would have loved to go but I can't :( I have firm drinks, a friend's birthday drinks and I have to finish packing for NZ, and get up at 5am the next morning. Have fun on the saturday though :)
