I'm so very sorry to hear that you lost your little friend. It is always so sad when that happens. You need to cuddle yourself and go ahead a grieve for her. Noodle sure was cute and I'll bet a really sweet bird. We've lost pets and I dread the thought of loosing our little dog who is about 13 we think. Take care, Lee... btw, I need your address again. mj
Thank you for your kind words... I'm so sad I'm still crying on and off. I did alot this morning because I dropped her off at the vet to be cremated...I did that with my parrot a few years ago. He's in a beautiful box with his name engraved on a gold plaque, I thought I would do the same for noodle.
Cried all the way home....
I sent my address to the email on your lj (zgypsy @) because I dont have the other one anymore - my computer had service and they wiped everything out. Was I supposed to be making you something??? I might have forgotten.... tell me?
my cockatiel died when she was 13. it was horrible, and i felt really bad because i thought they lived 20-25 years.
ironically, when i was crying at work, one of the line cooks asked me what was wrong, and as it turned out he used to breed cockatiels for a long time, and apparently they have weak hearts, and can die very easily over very small things (i.e. being frightened or too cold, etc). things that normally wouldn't kill anything.
so don't beat yourself up about it. anything could have happened, and sometimes they just don't live until they're elderly. 13 years is a long time, i'm sure noodle lived a full and fulfilling life, much like my gadget did. they just weren't designed to ever be "old" birds.

i remember a teacher laughing at me when i was crying because my gerbil had died the night before.
i think the deaths of my pets have been more traumatizing than many of the other things i've experienced in life.
i hope you can find some sunshine today and it makes you feel better.
