Taz is gorgeous! And it sounds like he likes you (unlike the people at the pet store). One of my cockatiels came here through a similar story, and Babydaddy has grown into a fine strapping young man (and father of two).

BabyDaddy is the best name Ive heard in ages! Its adorable... and I didnt know you had birds ... thats great! They are wonderful friends.
For names I was considering: Molotov (cockatiel) .... Champagne (cockatiel...same joke) and Shrimp cockatiel which i was leaning towards cause i already know someone with a cockatiel named molotov :) I was afraid I would get sick of that joke after a while...
hi... he sure is a cute little guy. I know you will enjoy having him and it looks like he's already happy to be with you. Please continue to send photos a updates.
i like to reiterate to people who feel guilty "replacing" a pet, that they should feel good that they have enough room to give another little animal a good home. so i'm glad you found taz. :)
I'm glad too...and I'm glad you saw the post. I wasnt going to get another cockatiel - if I got anything i was going to get another small parrot...but I was sure I wasnt ready or didnt want to...or something...
than I just had to go get him. the truth is he's so different personality wise from Noodle I dont feel like Im replacing her... maybe if they were similar in some ways but he really doesnt look like her and he acts soooo different. where noodle was quiet and kind of too herself, reserved and so sweet...taz is screaming to get out if he isnt out. hes really very parrot like... and hes more active... more physical. different. its why i think hes a male.... hes so demonstrative about love and affection. its adorable...
I did feel like i would be replacing her at first... before i got taz... but now, it doesnt feel that way. it just feels like i gave a bird who needed a home, a home...and hes happy
oh, he's so cute! and it's so great that you saved him from being picked on ever again. :) definitely want to hear more about him and how he's getting along! :D
Thanks honey :) he's doing really well. He LOVES being out - always wants to be out. Id leave him out more but my dog is way too interested in him...shes neveer been very good with my birds so ive always had to keep watch when they were out. Im trying to work with my dog so she knows that the jumping, yelling and going after them is WRONG WRONG WRONG! i think shes getting better, actually
awww... good luck with that! i love the little red cheek pads on your birds. they're so adorable! and his pitiful tail and crest just makes you want to baby him more doesn't it? :)
