So mostly I post on Facebook these days. I think I'm starting to annoy people because the number one subject of my posting in the last month or so has been "Fuck Mitt Romney". I'm as "ehhhh" as any leftist about Barack Obama- I believe very strongly in harm reduction and focusing on outcomes, so I'm gonna vote for him- but Mitt Romney, well, fuck ( Read more... )

I'd say that too, except that last time you guys ended up with a far-right president, our national insecurity complex required that we also elect a far-right prime minister. And we're still stuck with him, revolution nowhere in sight.

I have a friend who feels the same way; he thinks it has to "get worse before it gets better" but on a rather large/extreme scale, in my opinion!

I guess the other difference is that he's unlikely to have a baby in the next four years, and I'm *highly* likely, so that's impacting how I feel about things, too.

It's nice to see you back on LJ! I am attempting to follow FB lately, it's kind of working. You're one of about 20 people I am actually following, but I'll see the links sooner/will probably actually comment if you post them here. I hate the inability to mute threads on FB (looove it on G+, though).

Oddly enough, not only is my LJ community not dead, but I just added two new, active friends in the past week. I know it's dead for some people, but I still have 20+ new posts a day on my friends list. That's less true with G+ but I still have a lot of activity over there.

ANYWAY: do you follow Jay Smooth at all? I'm assuming yes, but he's been helping me feel less completely depressed, heh.

I watch the odd Ill Doctrine video. I like the guy.

And I think there's an unfollow link on FB threads you can click.
