- the shrek-esque over-acting animals - as i mentioned
- overlong battle sequence meant to ape lord of the rings battle scenes
- lots of slow zoom-ins on said overacting computer generated animals faces while music swells meaningfully
Looking at this director's list of credentials on IMDB (by the way that karaoke dance party thing is a video game - he actually directed a video game) I found that before he was a director he was in charge of special effects for such wonderful movies as Batman and Robin. So clearly he only knows how to manipulate special effects, he's not able to engage the composition (other than to show off the effects), and he's not able to deal with real actors, and it shows.
In short: 'twas lame.
Is that what you wanted to know? eh? codie? huh? is it? *poke* codie? *poke in the eye* eh?

I love your post! But mostly cuz you hate stuff. You are one of the bestest haters ever. Esp. when you are hating either a) things I hate too or b) things I don't care about. RE that dance party game, my students swear it is one of the best video games ever. They really really love it. I bet you would have been a really great black mass planner. You and Ben Franklin would have just tore up the place. And I don't just mean silly upside down cross crap.
