That whole life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves thing is pretty fucking plausible to me. It explains full and well why the more I think the further down my life slides into dark chasm of complacency. Maybe we should just get a bunch of us together and leave the US and form a nomadic nation of people who just don't think this place is working out for them on some essential esoteric level. The worst case scenario would be discovering that the right-wingers are right about this being the best it gets and our travels will leave us with the resolve to struggle to make it better. Or we could just continue wasting away, becoming less ourselves with each passing day. If the past is any indication of the future, the latter is far more likely.

Wait, I forgot to say that there's no way that this is as good as it gets. The right is way off. But, so is the left. The government is wrong right now and we have to fix it. But, like I said nobody is willing to make a difference. They flood our schedules with too much work to prevent us from thinking for ourselves, and then by the time we make it into the working world, we'd rather get that salary instead of changing things. It's a cycle man, and they have the people figured out.
