To paraphrase something I once said to [info]omnisti, $1783 is just 178.3 people with ten bucks each. But we need to find those one hundred seventy eight and a third people before Saturday.

Yup. Or three Starbucks iced coffees. I know it's hot. Get an iced beverage, and then put $1 or $2 in an envelope to donate. Or if you can't afford to donate, signal boost where you can. Print out a flyer and put it on the office bulletin board or something
