If you like butterscotch, what you could *try* that I don't think would mess it up is taking butterscotch chips, turning the heat off under the mix, and lightly stirring chips in before an immediate pour onto the cookie sheet. If you time it right and go conservative on the low heat, you should be able to only partially melt the chips, and have chunky butterscotch-chocolate fudge. Alternately, you could try it with dark semi-sweet chips - those melt even slower than butterscotch, and they'd contrast nicely with the flavor. Not sure how well it'd work...but I think I might try it too! :p
I was snowed in this weekend, along with over half the country it seems. Went through some old boxes, shed a few nostalgic tears, got a ton of old papers ready for recycling.
Reading: Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond and Paganism: An Introduction by the fabulous Higgenbothams. Next I'll probably tackle Tao: A Watercourse Way by Alan Watts and with all the hullabaloo over Howard Zinn's passing I'm tempted to read his A People's History.
You're tempting me to do that voicepost thing again. It's been ages.
I skipped Guns, Germs and Steel because of some of the stuff I've heard about it, and then the copy I owned got destroyed. Haven't decided if I'm going to seek it out on loan yet or not.
