I was kind of on the fence about that poem, til I found the author's blog and read through it. Um. Yeah. :/

Yeaaahhhhh. It's a fun read, innit?

And the links that came out showing the ways he went after Rose and Shweta in 2009 were...creepy (found them in comments to one of Mike Allen's posts on the subject, which are linked in that Fantastique article I linked to.) I don't know either of those women personally, while I respect them professionally and enjoy their blogs, but that was just above and beyond no matter who you are. He reminds me of Sh*tt*rl*, in quite a few ways...just creepily fixated on all these women and POC who are supposedly Ruining Hiiiimmmmmm when he wasn't that good to start with. Argh. I'd rather be a "femi-goblin" than on his team.

Rooting for you and Claire and Cat in the long poem category SO HARD. So hoping that SFPA comes through with awesome poems winning the Rhysling!
