i guess one of the biggest reasons i love rap is the "fuck you, i know who i am" attitude that rappers have, like here:
not guilty, he who does not feel me is not real to me
therefore he doesn't exist

i need to do that more in my life, or at least in my inner dialogue. i need to be better at just writing people

yea, definitely. i'm much happier when i'm able to realise that certain people and i will just not get each other. then i stop wasting my time with them.

as much as I've never identified with rap, I really appreciate the "fuck you, I know who I am" thing. There's a kind of confidence in their lyrics that, in the legitimate cases, has been hard-earned.
