2nd... It made me feel better to read that. I've been pretty heartbroken over the election. The Harding comparison is something I've thought about, but Harding was an open KKK member, and I think that G.W. Bush is a little more subtle about his prejudices (hello....gays?), which seems even more manipulative and scary to me. Gay rights are the civil rights movement of out generation.
But, can it unite all of us "good" people to do something better?...Yes. And then that's a positive thing. Because sincerely at this point, there's no use crying over what's happened... time to deal with it, I guess.
I just can't wait till our generation is in charge.
