Oh wow, this is amazing! Rich and evocative and well-written and fresh. Parts of it made my heart ache but the ending left me smiling. Thank you.

wahhhhhh! secrets! daddy!pete. their marriage and everything about the alternate universe. i love that neither pete wanted to leave. i love that mikey considered it cheating. i love all of this!! so amazing.

this was really, really awesome. It, you know, fucking BROKE MY HEART for the fucked-up Pete in our world, but seriously, I adore the two versions of Pete, here, and how I can totally see BOTH, how both could have so come true, and how both are still inherently Pete, but the one where he got to have Mikey is just the more grounded Pete. I love his relationship with Patrick, a LOT, in both universes, and the Rihanna thing was fan-fucking-tastic.

The scene where married-Pete wakes up in other-Pete's house and has the fucking breakdown and Patrick comes right the fuck over? I LOVED that. and the scene at the new year's party, with not-married Pete kissing Mikey, and doing "have you met Patrick" and Frank and Gerard dancing and dipping? SO MUCH LOVE.

this whole thing was JUST what I needed today, the perfect new year's day read. WONDERFUL.
