One more week

Feb 02, 2009 10:16

I have one more week of maternity leave. This time next week, I'll be knee-deep in e-mails and projects. Sadly, I'm really looking forward to it. There was buzz before I left that I would come back to a different position that focused more on creative and marketing. I'm anxious to see if that's fact ( Read more... )

Hey...SO glad to hear things are going well with Maeve and your whole family! (Especially glad to hear Violet is cooperating...there is LIGHT at the end of the tunnel -- we're still trying to get Little Girl to sleep more than 4 hours at a clip.)

Hope all continues to go well -- and the cake sounds AWESOME.

Tell Ed that he and Mr. JMFG will have to go shotgun shopping together -- Big Girl already has admirers in Kindergarten!

~~~healthy healing vibes for you and Miss Maeve~~~
Thanks for all of the vibes. They seem to have worked as she is up and about.
Kindergarten, eh? Yep, shotgun shopping is just around the corner.
I didn't know Maeve had to have open-heart surgery. I'm so glad to hear that she's back home and doing well. You really have had your hands extra full.
Your cake sounds delicious. Did you use a particular recipe or just do it off the cuff?
Also I hope you get the new job!
"I made an AWESOME cake last night -- all homemade. Chocolate cake with a raspberry cream cheese filling (cream cheese, honey, vanilla, powdered sugar and raspberries) and chocolate frosting. DELICIOUS!!!"
Okay, with everything you have going on, you need to keep the cake making details to yourself. You're really making the rest of us look bad ;)
So glad to hear about Maeve!! With her energy I'm not surprised it'd be hard to tell she just had surgery. Julia still talks about us coming down to go to Disney, just the girls.
Thanks!! It's almost like it never happened; she's up and about doing most of the things she normally does.
Ahh Jen, I talked about you at the dinner table tonight--how you never seem to show a "down side" in spite of troubles that would surely overwhelm most of us mere mortals. I send hugs and tons of admiration from this end, along with lots of positive thoughts to Maeve, and the whole bunch of you.
Also, I agree with Allison--keep that superwoman stuff locked away. I'm hanging my head in shame just imagining your life in between cake baking. Geeeez. Really. Stop it.
Awwww...thanks!
I *do* have my down moments as well, but with all that's going on, I really don't have time to think or dwell on them. :-)
