Compassion is my #1... in my own life I try to look at every action I take as to whether it shows compassion or not (often not, but that gives me something to strive for), and I look for it in others. I think you've hit the nail on the head that compassion requires trust, and I'm SO GLAD that you're looking to represent that in your job!
Spent a spell in a call center once or twice myself. Can relate to the aggravation, and the matter of company perspective on the bottom line. I applaud you for maintaining your sense of humanity, and through it all, remembering to relate to a person as a person. Good for you, and thanks for sharing your light. The world needs more of it.
