[...okay so. It's not a ghost, it's not a ghoul, and it's not a goblin...but it's most certainly not human.] What the bloody hell is that thing?
[Originally, Draco had been out wandering, trying to clear his head up a bit when he spotted the creature. On the bright side, everything he had been thinking about suddenly disappeared upon seeing the Dusk. On the down side, he's a little freaked out and therefore the wand's easily sliding into his hand, keeping it up his sleeve until he actually needs it.]
She WOULD rush right over to him like she did Ven, because hey what up family AU bestest buddy, but she knows it's in Draco's nature to be way more cautious ... and she doesn't want to be magicked to death. So she pauses when he calls out, then turns to face him.
... swaying and sweeping from side to side.
After a moment, she offers a comically exaggerated shrug. ]
[Yeah see Draco VERY MUCH APPRECIATES THIS. He'd flip shit if the Dusk came rushing at him, but the fact that it shrugs puts a new spin on the situation. He blinks for a moment before taking a cautious step forward.]
[Probably to Xion's unhappy discovery, Kairi is currently on the porch of house 14. When the Dusk arrives in front of the house, the redhead makes no moves to scare it off or even attack. She has her Keyblade, sure, but she's mostly just going to stare right at it. One moment the space where the Dusk was was empty; the next, this white creature was swaying, staring at the house. Because of that though, she's going to assume it's entirely harmless for the moment.]
[ The word rips out of her, explosively. That is not Riku's voice.
SHE'S RIKU?
Oh god. This cannot get any worse.
Agonized, Xion reaches up to her face ... her hair is way too long. Is that ... is that a blindfold? Why can she see anyway?! She tears the stupid thing off, unbelievably flustered and upset.

[...Dusk.
Now there's something he hasn't seen in years. And you know, despite the fact last time Axel saw any Dusks it did not end well, he's not even going to try to attack it (just yet). He's mostly interested on why one of them is here suddenly.]
As she does not know how he died, she has no idea what seeing one might mean to him. But she does know he recognizes them... so though she is tempted to pounce on him like she did Ven, she knows it's a bad plan. She hesitates at the sound of his voice, then immediately darts away and hides under a bench.
Here, let me make Axel feel better about being late.xelhesMay 9 2011, 13:40:39 UTC
[ Fenimore isn't quite as calm about running into what appears to be a monster on her way back from getting groceries. She pretty much freezes on the spot. At least she doesn't scream? But the bag she's carrying slowly slips from her hand and lands with the sound of something inside it shattering. Whoops. Looks like she'll have to clean that bag later.
In the meantime, the sudden sound while looking at something that looks like a monster nearly gives her a heart attack. Unfrozen, she squeaks from muffling a shriek and scrambles back several steps. ]
lmfao all of you as if I mind lateness, I am the QUEEN of lateaboysfaceMay 9 2011, 15:56:30 UTC
[ OH GOD FUCK
In the space of an instant Xion has wormed her way under a bench to hide, at least until she can locate the source of that--
... shriek.
... Fenimore.
Oh god, why did it have to be Fenimore? Oh god, no, please ... this isn't fair. Will Fenimore even still talk to her after this? Who'd want to be friends with a monster anyway....?
Under that bench, Xion curls her clawed hands over her head and simply cowers like a scared puppy, hoping vaguely that Fenimore will go away and leave her to her shame. ]
1/2 I CHALLENGE YOU FOR THAT TITLExelhesMay 12 2011, 03:16:23 UTC
[ Okay, monster has run away. That is a good sign. Fenimore places a hand over her chest, feeling her heart thudding as she tries to control her breathing.
It also makes her stop and consider her intended strategy (RUN RUN RUN RUN). Maybe it's domesticated, or a herbavore. After all, when she first encountered a deer, she had thought they would be dangerous, what with those huge horn things. After all, a lot of animals in her world are weird though apparantly they have otters and many are much more aggressive than they have a right to be. But animals here seem less universally out for blood. They also talk more, which is a little weird, but she tries to deal with that as best she can.
She kneels and tilts to try to glance underneath the bench. ...That looks like textbook cowering to her. Maybe this is someone's pet. It is in the middle of the village, after all.
...It might be worth trying to retrieve as much of those groceries as she can. Okay, cautiously, slowly walking towards the dropped bag again. ] Good...boy...?
...wow, save for the 1/2, I've used that exact line in a title just yesterday.xelhesMay 12 2011, 03:17:30 UTC
[ Okay, that isn't going to help anything if she sounds that tentative. She stops just short of the bag, extends a finger in the direction of the bench, and says slowly and clearly: ] Stay.
[ This is pretty much the opposite of fair. As with many of the others, Xion will freeze in her movements when spotted ... but Aerith doesn't seem frightened. Curious and a little relieved, she'll slither forward a few feet, though she won't get too close.
.... have an exaggerated headtilt, Aerith, to communicate her curiosity.
Currently, her wings are not visible, so it's pretty hard to tell if she's a resident or not... all she's got are the ring and her lack of, uh, overt hostility. ]
Re: not at all!! ♥gardenerofgaiaMay 9 2011, 18:55:07 UTC
[There is definitely caution--that body looks like it could be fast. But she knows plenty of dangerous people (and including one Red XIII and a mutated wolf) who aren't dangerous to her, and they're in town, so she isn't as scared as she could have been. Especially not when it seems scared itself.
Though she does take a step back at the initial slithering with a slight "oh"--but the Dusk stops, and she stays her ground, taking note of the ring before looking at its "face" again. In fact, her head half-follows the headtilt before she rights it and purses her lips thoughtfully. At least it's not growling or sniffing at her like those creatures during the experiment were...]
[ She's watching the subtle changes of Aerith's expression carefully. At any hint of true fear she'd probably leave... but it never comes.
She inches forward, just a bit.
Then she stops, simply standing there, though she continues to weave and wave in that odd Dusk way.
Slowly, obviously so as not to be misconstrued, she shakes her head. No. ]
(ooc; ps. I have Cloud icons. Tell me now if you do not want that sprung on her |D Cuz otherwise they will probably get used at some point in this thread.)

Is that a Dusk you thought you saw? Now it's Riku. Riku in a blindfold.
