Generic Update
I moved just before New Year's. I packed all my stuff and moved my furniture in a day. Not everything I packed got moved. I didn't pack everything. My old house is still a mess. Anyhow. I'm in the process of unpacking. I used to have all my stuff spread out over 4 rooms. Now I'm trying to fit what I need into one. Not frivolous stuff. Clothes, books, paperwork, some furniture. I guess there's weird odds and ends . . . but anything I haven't used directly in a while I'm getting rid of. I left a lot of things behind. I'm still finding more I need to get rid of. I don't have enough space or containers to put all my stuff in. My dresser drawer is full. So much stuff on my floor. Its driving me insane. I'm kind of a neat freak, and my room is continually cluttered. I don't even have a closet or another room I can throw all my clutter into.
I'm a night owl and my roommates go to bed at 10. I feel like I'm a kid sneaking around the house all the time. Its ridiculous. One of my roommates leaves her door open so the cat can get in at night. So I have to be quiet in the public areas. I have to be quiet in my room because its right next to hers, and below my room is her sister's room.
So I don't have anywhere to hang out at here really. I just went salsa dancing for the first time. Its been my introduction to the dance scene here so now I have a smidgen of an idea of what there is to do in this town besides unpack and avoid making noise in the house at night.
There's a tea time dance event once a month. It looks like a lot of fun. Some live bands. The Avalon (where I went tonight) was fun. Since dance nights end at around 10 or 1030 so I should totally check out the dance scene in Denver, as I can take the bus to there for free after I get my student id at CU.
