I was nudged. I’d been thinking recently that I needed to post because there’s a lot going on, and I have new graduates to welcome to the fold, so to speak. I might not have followed through, however, if Patrick hadn’t nudged me ( Read more... )

Can't wait.

Charlotte will also probably not like the Eglin bomb tests very much.

Othello? Ok, I can't exactly knock it since I haven't read it. but I have to say that I'd drop Hamlet before Daisy.

As one of the "new graduates", I'm not entirely familiar with your shorthand:
The Importance of Being E______ for IB?

Furthermore, I thought that IB was a defunct program at Niceville HS after my class...

Bombs, planes, and vacuum cleaners have no effect on her. Light a firecracker, however, and she turns into Cujo.

Drop Hamlet? Never gonna happen.

The Importance of Being Earnest. It's very clever, sarcastic, satirical. You might like it. It's a very quick read.

IB is dead at our school; but I still read exams for them. I like to keep my finger on the pulse, ya know.

Its so nice to hear from ONE of the AP Lit teachers at Niceville. It would be even nicer to hear from both of them.

I'll run it by her on our seven-hour road trip on Thursday, but I don't know if she has an LJ.

What's up Elaine? Sorry to be lost to the world for a while. What's this about you coming to DC and not letting me know? I do happen to live just 30 minutes from there. When I eventually make it back to Niceville you totally owe me for that one. Maybe we'll go crabbing. And swap recipes. And it will be magical.

Hey Mrs. Crump.

You know, I'm always bragging about you to friends in college. Apparently many of them had awful English teachers. They get jealous.

I spent a short time as a mock-Lit major, never officially declaring, but heading that way academically. Lit classes are my favorite classes, but I know it's not my "calling".

how have you been?
