I, like your other readers, see Heath when I see Ennis...and I found great comfort in the fact that Jack is with Ennis for all time....
I'm glad you found solace in writing it. We are all the more better for it.
Thanks.....Adrianne

Tears are clouding my vision, as this was so sad, but also so beautiful. It's going to take a long time before we start to feel a little bit like our old selves, but I think Heath's death might have changed something in us all, because what each of us takes away from this sadness is an aspect of Heath that inspired us. That way he doesn't only live on in Matilda, but also in all of us, the men and women who have admired him for his talent, for his choices, for who he was.
*hugs* to you... Love, Mel

“What you doin’ here, anyhow?” Jack asked, watching Ennis closely.
Ennis grabbed Jack’s hand, locked their fingers together, and tenderly stroked Jack’s face.
“Waiting for you.”
Jack smiled and leaned in to Ennis's touch.
"Well," Jack said, "here I am."
"Yeah," said Ennis, leaning his forehead against Jack's. "Here you are."
I love those last lines. Ennis and Jack meant to be together always. Thanks so much for sharing. It made me feel better to read. Hopefully you feel better from writing. *Hugs* - B
