Wow, what a long chapter! I read as slowly as I could to make it last longer. Really loved Ennis and Jack's interactions with the kids--they both seem truly gifted. I'm glad that Ennis will be taking care of Justin; he seems as though he needs some special attention right now. Ennis is such a worrywart; in a way, Jack's carefree happiness (except when he thinks about his dad) is a good balance for him. The ending here was also brilliant--I think we'd be waiting so long *with* them by the end that we could all understand their quick, desperate coupling. Beautiful last lines--

Jack felt weak with how strong his feelings were for Ennis, but he didn’t mind. Why would he? Ennis was here, holding him up and keeping him close.

These perfectly sum up their need for one another. Thanks for a gorgeous chapter. xx Jen

Hi

Wonderful chapter. I'm glad they've got each other.

Ennis's worrying has got me worried that something's going to happen soon...

I felt so frustrated for them and the part at the end was lovely:

**“Jesus, I’m crazy for you,” **

And:

**Jack laughed, and Ennis joined in. The simple joy of hearing Ennis laugh made Jack’s heart soar. Jack felt weak with how strong his feelings were for Ennis, but he didn’t mind. Why would he? Ennis was here, holding him up and keeping him close. **

Thanks for continuing this.

And I did read the interlude as well. Bit too shellshocked to comment then but it was also lovely.

As always, eager for more...

Julie

Ah, Christie,
You not only made Ennis and Jacks heart sing but mine as well.
What a beautiful chapter.
How they both show such dedication and caring for the children not just because it is their job but because the really like what there doing. It was natural for Jack to
blame himself for that incident and I'm glad Ennis was able to reassure him. Loved the late night walk and I hope Alma stays away, please?
Love your Icon its so perfect for the story.
Thank you for this chapter. I know a story needs its ups and downs and an occational bolder on the road to make it interesting because life is just that, never running just on a strait line but I hope this story will have less curves and less heartaches because I don't know how many missing chips my heart can take after the event of the past few days .
Hugs you a lot
Torry

Hi Torry, thanks for such a lovely comment. I love your icon too, so we are even!! LOL Alma will not be a problem, don't worry. I don't want anything to go wrong with these boys, but sometimes, it just can't be helped. But don't worry, this is a happy ever after fic. x

Your boys are so utterly sweet, Christine. I'm so in love with them and this story. It's one of my fave's and I always look forward to it.
I just love how much they adore each other and how they're always thinking about and looking out for each other ♥ Love all the smiles, stares and casual touches. Just imagining Jack's intense stare made my stomach drop too!

Should I worry about Ryan?? He's annoying. And Justin is sweet and I'm not surprised that he's taken a shine to Ennis. I'm sure that with Jack and Ennis's care and concern he'll be able to talk about what happened and maybe even manage to feel a bit better about everything.

I'm so happy for the trust Bob has placed in Jack, it's so deserved and wonderful. He's a natural with kids. I always adored the too short scene in the movie with Jack and little Bobby in the tractor.

I really felt for Ennis and his worries. God, I so wish he'd be able to relax a bit!

Shit, Ennis, I wanna kiss you right now.”

“Damn,” Ennis breathed. “Don’t.”LOVED this, it turned me on! LOL. And that was ( ... )
