Hello darling - You've been holding out and I will never forgive you. Well, only if you write more of this! lol. Some lovely lines (this feels so weird, our roles are usually reversed)...

..but now, even Jack flicking a fly off Ennis's shoulder was special. So lovely, the feeling behind that.

Jack was desperate to open his eyes, wanted to see Ennis's face close to his, and drink in the wonder of this boy who had believed in him and brought him home. Just gorgeous, "the wonder of this boy". Sublime.

Ennis's sleep-filled drawl, together with the lullaby words, never failed to make Jack feel like a Lost Boy found. Ennis returned Jack's smile, even though Jack couldn't see. Especially adored "lullaby words" - so peaceful and intimate. Perfect.

The sex was hot. The fingers in the mouth...holy hotness, off the scale. No wonder Kumari didn't hesitate to give you permission to post this. Your interlude certainly does her and her fic justice. Keep on writing, listen to your voice. I am so so proud of you. xx Em

Am I forgiven? I even changed my avatar just for you! lol I wanted this to be a surprise, and so it was. Glad you liked it, that means so much, coming from you. And I'm so overwhelmed with you describing the "wonder of this boy" sublime. Wow. I'm stunned. But in a good way. Glad you liked the fingers, because I surely did. Thanks so much Em, for your encouragement and support. It means so much.

Thank you very much, and glad you liked it. It's the romantic side of me that imagines Ennis and Jack have these moments from time to time.

That was gorgeous! ~ ! I loved all the question marks--who knows what they're getting up to in those spaces--and also the very gradual, carefully emerging sensations between them. How brilliant. There were lots of favorites for me but this one I think tops them all:

Jack smiled drowsily. His heart fluttered like a million butterflies had taken flight and landed in his belly. Ennis's sleep-filled drawl, together with the lullaby words, never failed to make Jack feel like a Lost Boy found.

You did such a nice job too of re-creating Kumari's delicate style, with these unusual, beautiful metaphors. Thank you so much for deciding to post it. : )

So glad you liked it Jen, your comments are so lovely and much appreciated. I'm a little humbled to think I come anywhere close to Kumari's style of anything, and somewhat overwhelmed! Glad you liked the "million butterflies" part, I did too. I know how much you love this story too, so its nice to know that you liked this wee ficlet.

Christie - I'm just back from holiday and read this. It's wonderful! You captured that aspect of waking when things are quiet and slow. Yes, it was hot but it was also very gentle. Almost dreamlike - just like waking.

More!!!

Hi Karen

Thanks so much, I'm really glad you liked it. I wanted it to seem dreamy and gentle, so I'm pleased you saw it that way. Jack not being quite awake reinforced the dream-like state of their union.
