Just watched episode 5 of Kuroshitsuji II.
And man, honestly- I don't know if I like Alois or not. I know a lot of people adore him and I do admit he adds a new dynamic to the show, but he is just such a bitch. A huge, huge asshole. Sometimes I really like it, but he is such a fucking brat other times (that and I'm biased towards Sebastian and Ciel, along with thousands of others probably) I want to kick him in the face.
Though I gotta say- scene with maid!Alois and Ciel in the bedroom was definitely win. Ear-licks are always classic, in my books. It was also really neat to watch Ciel as he began to remember when Sebastian had brought him to that mansion before. The memories voicing over as Ciel explored the mansion was almost creepy.
But, come on- Sebastian owns. Even over those triplets, who do seem to be growing on me (cosplay = MUST HAPPEN.
swiggle ,
realitydetached , I'm looking at you!). I'm sorry, Ciel, but they definitely destroyed your (fail) servants at that ball, hands down.
However, definitely most note-worthy about this episode (apart from its depressing lack of Grell) is that it does seem like Ciel has lost his memories of (at least) a large chunk of the first season. Which makes sense- he doesn't remember 'dying', either. And his ring- when Alois pointed it out, it didn't seem like a solid reflection of light on the jewel. I can't wait to see if he does remember, or figures out that he's forgotten. That would be very interesting; and we'd get an explanation from Sebastian as to why he brought Ciel back in the first place.
The plot thickens~ I am looking forward to some Sebastian ownage next episode.
