Internship applications

I mailed out my applications 2 weeks ago and I'm already tired of waiting to hear about interviews! Please let me get 6...no, 8. I applied to 16 places so hopefully I'll get interviews at half of them

Me too! I have dreams about it, it's so bad. I have so much dissertation work to do that I can't even fill my time with fun things either, so it's just work and waiting... No fun!

How are you otherwise? It's been a long time...

I'm doing well! I'm analyzing the data for my dissertation and trying to get back into writing it. The plan is to be done by May. How are you doing? What's your top internship site so far?

I have the May plan as well, although I'm still collecting data during the next 3 weeks. We'll see how that works out.

I have no idea what my top site is. For a while it was Western Psychiatric Institute in Pittsburgh, but I hate the idea of living in Pittsburgh. So then my top choice was Columbia, and I got excited when Eric was telling me about some really cool research they are starting there. And then the other day, I wanted to go to UCLA simply to live near a friend who is there now. And then it was UNC for some random reason. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to hearing about interviews so I can cross some off the list and no longer have to think about so many possible places anymore. And I'm really hoping the interviews will be pretty telling and let me figure out my rankings a bit easier. We'll see.
