I don't trust new versions

Nov 02, 2012 19:30

Not so mysterious message on my Friends page:

"You're using the old version of the Friends page - switch to the new one.

I DON'T WANT TO.

So, can anyone tell me what the new version looks like to save me being sweary at the computer when I can't get my old layout which I've had for about 9 years back? Ta.

I've not switched to the new one myself, but the general feedback from people who have done is that on a scale of bad to good, it's utter shite.

Shock and horror - not. I can't think of one webpage (in the mode of blogging/social media) which has ever been improved by new versions. *grumbles about why can't they leave things alone mutter whinge whinge*

It's a horrible white page with LJ blue bars. It's caused almost as much negative feedback as when they changed the comments page last year. As people are pointing out, we customise our layouts to avoid hideous crap like that.

At the moment it's only in beta, so you can switch it on and off, but the question is, will they inflict it on everyone at some point? Cue another mass migration to DW.
