The Book I Read 2015

A bit late due to having gone camping. Even more books than usual last year, probably due to mostly working from home and also having a bit more spare time on my hands. Also possibly due to the fact that many of these books can best be described as "enjoyable rubbish" rather than anything approaching literature.

That is a whole lot of reading (IWSWHW am sure *grin*) and I am intrigued by the book about Fritzl - is it schlocky sensational tabloidy cash in or a 'proper' book?

I'm about 20 pages into Gone Girl as it's next choice for WI Book Club. Haven't seen the film version either as yet, it's a bit too modern and in colour for my tastes.

The book about Fritzl was quite well written. Definitely not a gossip-tome, but looked more into his background. Recommended it if you can get it free or really cheap.

144! I thought I'd done well with 114. I've read 15 on your list - 14, 26, 27, 35, 43, 44, 49, 51, 52, 60, 63, 72, 94, 97, 110. I personally enjoyed Girl In A Band - agree the Art bits were a bit boring but the rest was interesting. Madge's brother's book was interesting in that I'd forgotten that once she got famous just how quickly she rose to superstar. I didn't think it was particularly revelatory however - Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell do coke, well, gosh ;-) Oh, and Carly Simon's memoir *is* better than Linda Ronstadt's by the way.

I didn't find Christopher Ciccone's book to be full of revelations either, but I did enjoy the overall bitchiness of it. An easy and enjoyable read.
