The Book I Read 2017

Dec 31, 2016 21:32

I purposely didn't number my list of books read in 2016 until the last minute just to see how I was doing. Fewer than the last couple of years, but not a bad number and a fair few of definite length. Obviously the cheery book I'm currently reading about the Black Death will have to wait until next year's list.

That's an impressive list. I have probably managed fewer than a dozen actual books and most of those were read on holiday. I started a list at the beginning of the year, but forgot about it by the time I'd actually read anything.

I read, but I read stuff online that mostly isn't books.

I read 10 of them I think - Belinda Carlisle, Carly Simon, Chrissie Hynde, Michael Crichton, Aquariums of Pyongyang, Tommy Cooper, Alex James, Dikotter and Fisk.

That is an impressive list - and don't feel too dirty about Archer - we all need some brain bubblegum every now and then. Mine is St Jackie Collins of the Improbable and Constantly Recycled Plotline.

mrsoverall above swears by Jackie Collins too. I haven't read any JC since I was 16. Maybe a revisit is in order.
