TFCon: in which I am kidnapped to Canada and drove there of my own volition.

I'd already written cons off for the summer as BotCon was two weeks before my sister's wedding and TFCon was two weeks after it. But then I remembered ( Read more... )

Exaggerating breakfast pastry! - I looked it up and it was slightly over one kilometre. ( Which is totally short in the subjective reality of Bees What Walk Everywhere. If I knew it was far for Poptarts What Prefer To Drive, I'd have picked the streetcar route first. The rain would have still happened though it wasn't supposed to happen until evening. :P )

What, no mention of the two paramedics who were wandering around because one of them happened to see the 'Toy Convention!' sign and was hoping for Star Wars stuff? ;)

I forgot about the paramedics! And about a dozen other things, really. Lots happened and my mind is a sieve. There were many awesome cosplayers, and the guys making balloon animals for the kids because "when the kids are happy, we all are," and my totally free Thundertank and Mumm-Ra thing from the booth next to us, and my ability to knock everything on the table over to the point where things had to get duct taped down... And Knave getting me started on the Avengers game which I am now mildly addicted to.

It was seriously only a kilometer? Damn. Still, I should've brought my ankle braces, and I didn't, so pain! I think the rain was the part that really did it, though. Pain I can deal with, eventually. Being wet? I do not like being a damp Poptart.

And also the whole "Well, if you want to cosplay as Rhinox, I still have a rat poncho" thing. XD
