It's new puppy day at the bike shop!!!

Every good bike shop worth it's weight should have a dog.  We have two now.
Gizzmo is an old golden retriever that the owners have had for almost 10 years now.
Gizz didn't "come" into work today and I asked where gizz was at. I was told she took the day off.

Fast forward to later today ====>>>  Barb and Megan ( ( Read more... )

In France dogs that have a pedigree are named with the first letter following the year they were born. ie any dog born in 2006 will have a name starting by B (last year was A..)

What is the year in the US? I know it's different from France. Not even sure such a system exists though.

Any name should be short (2 syllables is the best) and something that can't be mixed with an order. You don't name a dog "stayi" for example, if you want to make sure she answers the command "stay".

My dog has the worst possible name : she's a german shepherd, and I named her Apple. No idea what went through my mind, but this name just "stuck"..

You are asking me questions I have no answers for.

I have heard the 2 syllable/ names that don't sound like commands suggestion before. At another bike shop I worked at we had a rescued gray hound. We called him Ender. His racing name was Northender. We dropped the North because it was to close to NO.

Apple is not such a bad name.
