Really, that last entry is what I wrote the whole thing for; I tried to illustrate it so the meaning was clear, just in case stopping mid sentence didn't translate well.
:D I'm glad that it was successful! But also sad that I made everybody sad D:
That was absolutely astounding. The little quirky bits scattered throughout were fantastic. What he's trying to do with those poor hats looks something akin to a butterfly net in disrepair. I laughed out loud there.
T-that ending though... ;A;
Perfectly done. In every single way. You captured the Professor perfectly.
This was simply amazing. I agree with Potato Gurl. I am quite sure the ending was what I thought it was. TT_TT That aside, it was nice for some reason to see Layton before he was a professor, and before he was even a gentleman. You have really captured what his thoughts might have been during that time of his life. It would be interesting to do with the same with others mentioned above: writing diary entries from their perspectives. Once again, this was a lovely read. Thanks for making my night!

Yup, it's what it is. On a related note, it's surprisingly hard to fake being startled while writing o.o
I'm glad someone enjoyed the characterization of the Professor that I chose; It was hard to decide how hormonally influenced or emotionally charged he would get without breaking character too much.
XD Writing more of these wouldn't be too difficult, but I'm afraid Don Paolo's would be all caps, exclamation marks, random "YOU INSUFFERABLE LAAAYTON"'s and trying to bastardize his name to fit into "cretin".

You chose his characterization well. It's hard to imagine, but there was a time when he was not so gentlemanly!
Oh, wow, I could totally see Donny-boy's journal being that way. There would be all these weird comparisons ("One day, I will rain my vengeance down upon you. And you will be begging for golashes!" or whatever he says) and ranting about nothing in particular half of the time. I can see it now... *3*
This was a fun tumble through the ups and downs of life. Like everyone who commented before me I agree that the ending has the kind of emotional twist to it that actual (in game/story) events do. Well written, and a great job!

D: I'm glad I make a convincing British man. I had to rewrite so many of those lines because I kept lapsing into twenty-something girl slang.
Thanks!
