In January I submitted a small sculpture of a dancing woman to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition with the title “Fire Dancer”. Earlier this week I found out that my piece received one of the highest awards, a gold key! Needless to say, I was ecstatic. Actually I almost fell down, but anyways

congratulations! some of my most talented art students submitted work to be juried and the most someone ever got (even including past years) was a silver key. oh - before you think me a creepy stalker, i linked here through your proud father's post about your artwork and i also teach art.
