im sick. fever finally gone, i think. doctor said i might have scarlet fever, by the looks of my RASH. that's what Beth died of in "Little Women". she got scarlet fever, it weakened her heart, and she croaked four years later. my grandmom got scarlet fever as a child and lost her hearing in one ear, and one of her sisters. yah, i can't stop

I hope you feel better soon! And yes, the reason why it effected people differently back then was, they did not have the medical advancements that we do today. They probably used bleeding as a "cure" hahaha
